Que es FONAVI? / What is FONAVI?

FONAVI es un colectivo de músicos reunidos para explorar la efervescencia de ritmos populares como la cumbia, el reggae y el mestizaje.
Con las máquinas como aliadas y los instrumentos acústicos característicos del género, logran un sonido único, bailable y con mucho groove.------------------------------------------------FONAVI is a collective of musicians gathered to explore the effervescence of popular rhythms such as cumbia, reggae, and mestizaje.
With machines as allies and acoustic instruments characteristic of the genre, they achieve a unique, danceable, and groove.

Porqué FONAVI? / Why FONAVI?

Primero que nada, explicamos lo que es un Fonavi: un complejo de grandes edificios construido en Rosario (y en otras ciudades de Argentina) allá por los años 50, con el objetivo de levantar viviendas funcionales y económicas para que la clase obrera pudiera acceder a su hogar mediante cuotas eternas.Dicho esto, el concepto 'FONAVI' busca reflejar gráficamente lo que habita en nuestro interior: la multipersonalidad. Esto quiere decir que cada uno de nosotros funciona como un edificio Fonavi, y que en cada departamento vive una faceta distinta de nuestra personalidad. Por ejemplo: en el 2°C vive el pesimista; en el 3°B vive el aventurero; el portero es el chusma; en el sótano vive el conspiromaniaco; en el ático, el elevado espiritual... y así, dándole lugar y entidad a cada versión de uno mismo asignándole su propio departamento.Creemos que es fundamental asumirnos como parte de algo más grande; eso nos puede ayudar a entender a la humildad y al respeto como grandes herramientas para transitar este caos. Por eso, FONAVI es eso que nos engloba.-----------------------------First of all, let's explain what a Fonavi is: a complex of large apartment buildings built in Rosario (and other Argentine cities) back in the 1950s, aimed at providing functional and affordable housing so the working class could acquire their own homes through endless monthly installments.That said, the concept of 'FONAVI' seeks to graphically reflect what dwells inside us: multipersonality. This means each of us functions like a Fonavi building, where a different facet of our personality lives in each apartment. For example: apartment 2°C is home to the pessimist; apartment 3°B houses the adventurer; the doorman is the gossip; the conspiracy theorist lives in the basement; the spiritual master resides in the penthouse... and so on, giving a place and an entity to every version of oneself by assigning them their own apartment.We believe it is essential to embrace ourselves as part of something greater; that can help us understand humility and respect as powerful tools to navigate this chaos. Therefore, FONAVI is what encompasses.

Busqueda musical / Musical approach

Conseguimos una gran sinergia escénica que genera la motivación para que la sala completa baile y se entregue al poder de la música; para ello, mezclamos cumbia santafesina, chicha, cuarteto y sonidos psicodélicos. En las letras, hacemos énfasis en cuestiones existenciales que nos pasan día a día, y también describimos paisajes y situaciones.------------------------------We achieve a great stage synergy that generates the motivation for the entire room to dance and surrender to the power of the music; to do this, we mix cumbia santafecina, chicha, cuarteto, and psychedelic sounds.In the lyrics, we emphasize existential issues that happen to us day to day, and we also describe landscapes and situations.

Fonavi se formo en Alemania de la mano de Franco Tato Maiorana y Martin Morenilla

Nacido en Núremberg (Alemania) en 2025, FONAVI está integrado por músicos con una destacada trayectoria internacional.El núcleo del proyecto lo integran:
Franco «Tato» Maiorana (Composición, voz, guitarra y clarinete): Exintegrante de "Los Peñaloza" (Argentina) y actual miembro "Niem Nitai" y "Matumati y la tripi all star" (actual guitarrista de Manu Chao).
Martín Morenilla (Programación, teclados y acordeón): Exintegrante de "Kemadito Sound", con amplias giras a sus espaldas por toda Europa y Europa del Este.

Franco “Tato” Maiorana (Songwriting, vocals, guitar, and clarinet): Former member of "Los Peñaloza" (Argentina) and current member of "Niem Nitai" and "Matumati y la tripi all star" (current guitarist for Manu Chao).
Martín Morenilla (Programming, keyboards, and accordion): Former member of "Kemadito Sound", with extensive tours under his belt across Europe and Eastern Europe.
